Police in Guarda arrested a 24-year-old driver on three counts of attempted murder this week after he drove into a riverbed, apparently on purpose, in a car containing his parents and a neighbour. The group had set out to collect chestnuts in the Seia area when the man is understood to have got into an argument with his parents and driven into the river. All survived with light injuries.
