A 70-year-old man died after being hit by a train in Parchal, Lagoa on Tuesday (December 26).
The exact location of the incident and the man’s nationality have not been revealed, with authorities confirming only that they were alerted to the incident at 7.09pm. Railway traffic was cut off until 8pm.
GNR and PJ police, INEM emergency services and Lagoa volunteer firefighters were all dispatched to the scene.
