New olive oil launched

Viveiros Monterosa in Moncarapacho have launched a range of five recently bottled olive oils.

Pressed last October and resting in stainless steel containers until bottled recently, the five different oils have had time to mellow and develop their delicate aromas.

Detlev von Rosen from Viveiros Monterosa described the five oils: “Cobrançosa – with fresh fruitiness, a nice bitterness and pronounced pepper in the end; Maçanilha – with a rich fruitiness in the direction of green apple, some bitterness and a lasting peppery finish; Picual – with a complex fruitiness, a pronounced bitterness and some pepper in the finish; Verdeal – with a very light and gentle fruitiness, bitterness and pepper in the end, and Blend – which contains all the varieties and has a stronger character with rich fruitiness, bitterness and pepper in the end.”

All varieties have been certified Extra Virgin Olive Oil by the Instituto Superior de Agronomia in Lisbon.

The five different oils in a box containing 25ml of each cost €5. The 500ml bottles cost €12.50 each plus postage.
