Portugal’s property market will be promoted in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, between December 6 and 9 with the aim of attracting investors.
Around 1,000 properties from various locations across the country such as the Algarve, Lisbon, Aveiro and Porto, will be on display at the Real Estate of Portugal Exhibition (MIP 2012), with sale prices starting from €200,000.
The exhibition is organised by the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and the Industry of Rio de Janeiro. This event is being held in Brazil for the first time this year. “At the moment, Portugal has a selection of high quality properties in prime locations at very reasonable prices. We believe that the exhibition will bring sales of at least €50 million,” said the President of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce, Paulo Elísio. “We will promote apartments from €200,000, but the majority of larger properties will be above the €500,000-mark. The MIP hopes to put Portuguese property under the spotlight to Brazilian investors,” he concluded.
