VALENTIM COSTA began one of the oldest government licensed real estate agencies, Urbinvest, in the Algarve in 1980 and it is now one of the most respected property companies in the region.
The company has gone from strength to strength and currently has a large 180sqm head office in the centre of Vilamoura, numerous other smaller offices around the resort, as well as sales offices at certain developments throughout the Algarve.
Their main market is located between Faro and Armação de Pêra with re-sales being particularly active between Vilamoura and Quinta do Lago.
The agency covers all ranges of properties, from studio apartments at around 70,000 euros to luxury villas worth four or five million euros.

There are currently around 500 properties on their books. “We are very careful in selecting the products we sell. We won’t just take anything,” said Valentim, who was the Vice President for the APEMIP, the National Association of Estate Agents in Portugal, for 10 years. He is now the President of the APEMIP’s General Assembly (South).
The company is currently promoting two major new developments in the Vilamoura area. Terraços da Vinha is a development of 34 units with two to four bedroom townhouses which is a totally closed condominium.
Millenium Residence is traditional in style and has 24 units of townhouses and apartments from one to three bedrooms. The development is situated on a golf course frontage. It is an upmarket development where around 25 per cent has already been sold to mainly British buyers.
Shortly Urbinvest will begin marketing a small development near Guia, Green Residence, which offers four bedroom townhouses.
