JAZZ LOVERS will delight in events currently taking place at the Le Méridien Dona Filipa Hotel in Vale do Lobo.
Following a successful appearance in 2007, Jazzy Sunset Dining sessions are back with the Lagos Jazz Orchestra.
Formed in 2004, the orchestra has gained respect across Portugal. With a total of 18 members, their repertoire varies from 1920s jazz to more modern pieces.
Special evenings
This year Le Méridien Dona Filipa has scheduled these special evenings for Monday, July 7, July 17 and 28, August 5, 18 and 29 and September 8. All events begin at 7.30pm.
July 17 will be particularly memorable, as there will be a special performance by jazz aficionado, Bobby Medina whose style blends jazzy with overtones of Latin, Classical and pop elements.
Tickets cost 57 euros each and include the concert, a buffet dinner and ½ bottle of wine.
