PUPILS FROM the Castro Marim secondary school recently visited Espaço d’Arte Silva Guerreiro, an art gallery and cultural centre in Almancil.
Algarvean sculptor Arlindo Arez hosted the group, giving the 12 and 13 year olds the opportunity to learn more about the creative process. Arlindo also explained the significance of each of his sculptures, currently on show as part of an exhibition entitled Divindades Femininas (Goddesses).
The students also had the chance to appreciate the paintings of Mariola Landowska, currently included in the solo exhibition entitled Os Mundos de Mariola (The Worlds of Mariola).
