A professional drug dealer chose an isolated location in Fornalha de Moncarapacho, Olhão, to grow and store large amounts of cannabis and hashish but police caught up with him after a tip-off of suspicious activity.
They found over 6,000 doses of hashish in his car and his home as well as 21 cannabis plants.
They also found 23 6.35mm gun bullets, pepper spray, knives and equipment for refining drugs.
The arrested man, aged 23, was due to appear in court charged with producing and selling drugs.
