Free colon cancer screenings

Due to high demand, Hospital Particular do Algarve is again holding free colon cancer screenings.

Last month, the hospital group held two days of screenings for colon cancer and due to the large number of patients seeking an appointment new dates have now been announced.

Colon cancer screenings will take place at Hospital Particular do Algarve in Alvor on November 25, at the Gambelas-Faro unit on the 30th and in Portimão’s Hospital São Camilo on December 4.

The screenings are aimed at people aged 40 to 75 if there is a family history of colon cancer and for people aged 50 to 75 if there is no family history of the disease.

Making an appointment is mandatory as preparation for the screening is required.
