There doesn’t need to be a reason to visit Lisbon. But with the approach of the festive season, the capital city becomes all the more beautiful, providing the ideal setting for celebrating Christmas and New Year away with family and friends – and all without the hassle of cooking and cleaning up afterwards!
With this in mind, the Corinthia Hotel Lisbon has announced a special Christmas and New Year’s programme, including “festive entertainment and menus to make guests feel at home” – but without the stress.
On Christmas Eve, Sete Colinas restaurant will be serving the traditional codfish with chickpeas “migas” (traditional mash) and pork loin with clams, among other delicious dishes. On Christmas Day, lunch will be a sumptuous buffet including cold salads, sushi and oysters, roasted duck leg, roasted kid goat and monkfish with prawns. Dinner on December 25 will be at Típico restaurant with a menu of crab and oysters ‘au naturel’, octopus ‘à Lagareiro’, suckling pig and a selection of grilled fish and meats. Musical entertainment on these days will be by pianist Miguel Vieira.
On New Year’s Eve, the Corinthia Hotel will be serving a special dinner at Salão Floriana, followed by a midnight supper to the sounds of lively music to welcome in 2014. A New Year’s Day lunch will be served at Típico restaurant.
