Seminar about mental disabilities at University of Algarve

The University of the Algarve is hosting a seminar based around the theme of mental disabilities on November 22 and 23, in the green auditorium of the Science and Technology Faculty.

The seminar, entitled ‘INTEGRando: passos e caminhos na deficiência intelectual’, is being organised by the AAPACDM (Associação Algarvia de Pais e Amigos de Crianças Diminuidas Mentais) – an association for parents and friends of children with mental disabilities – as part of commemorations for its 45th anniversary.

The seminar is designed to discuss recent developments in related fields. It begins on Friday at 9.30pm.

An earlier talk on “Professional Inclusion and Quality of Life” will take place at 2.30pm on Friday, and will be led by the coordinator of the study Carlos Veloso da Veiga and researchers from the Minho and Évora universities. This talk too will be open to the general public.

Those interested in attending the entire two-day programme can sign up by filling up an entry form available online or by sending personal information via email.

Prices vary from €25 for students and partners of the AAPACDM and €30 for the general public.
