Maria’s beach restaurant in Praia do Garrão Poente, Almancil, held a charity curry night on November 13, raising €5,000 for ACCA Kids and Apatris.
The charities would like to thank the restaurant owners, Harriet and Miguel Campina and Angela and William Scott, for their hard work organising the event and those whose generosity on the night helped raised the much-needed funds. “The food was superbly cooked by a friend of the owners, Lubna Cater. We really appreciate the long hours she spent cooking for 80 people,” said Jackie Quirk from ACCA.
The money raised will go towards helping children in need in the Algarve.
