Despite assurances from Portimão hospital director Pedro Nunes that all is well, around 100 protesters, including doctors, nurses and out-patients, turned up in force this week to complain about the fusion of services with Faro.
Portimão council has already demanded the resignation of Nunes saying he is responsible for the “drastic” degradation of hospital services.
