THE GERMAN CLINIC in Carvoeiro, near Lagoa (Algarve), has recently enlarged its range of treatments. Since last month, it is offering treatments for orthopaedic diseases by two experienced German doctors.
MD Jörn Griesemann and MD Hendrik Luths are currently working as orthopaedic surgeons in practices in Germany, after having worked for numerous years in hospitals in general surgery, hand surgery and orthopaedic surgery. Both are specialised in the field of chiropractic and sports medicine.
Dr. Luths is also a medical advisor for a German premier football league team and Dr. Griesemann is also specially trained for osteology. Both doctors hold a diploma in acupuncture, which is offered not only for orthopaedic diseases, but numerous other ailments.
Therapy includes the entire variety of the orthopaedic field: from arthritis in the spine and joints, treatment for osteoporosis, diseases in tendons and muscles to sports injuries and rheumatic diseases as well as treatment for acute and chronic pain, such as headaches.
