Forum event boosts funds

The Forum Algarve and the Lions Club of Faro have now ended their campaign to support the Algarve Oncology Association by raising funds for the Radiotherapy Unit in Faro. Their campaign included sponsored boxes around a Christmas tree, together with a collection box for donations, and has resulted in the staggering amount of 32,000 euros being raised. Luís Pereira, Director of Forum Algarve, and José Matos Sá, President of the Lions Club of Faro, presented a cheque for this amount to Dr Santos Pereira, President of the AOA. The star prize at the Forum Algarve event was a Porsche Boxster and the car has now been presented to the lucky winner, Sr Duarte, a teacher, who bought only four tickets for the charity raffle.
