A protocol signed between Parque Expo 98 and Tavira Câmara is set to re-define the urban environment of the city with a plan that aims to integrate economic, social, environmental, financial and legal considerations. Macário Correia and José Bracinha Vieira, leaders of Tavira Câmara and Parque Expo’s Administration Council respectively, signed the agreement, which will run until June this year. Vieira explained that Parque Expo was launched 10 years ago with the aim of planning and building the ‘98 Expo in Lisbon. In the wake of the event’s success, Parque Expo continued and has sought out new challenges, bringing its experience to bear in environmental re-defining programmes.
