After ten years as a company specialising in windows and doors, Speed Frame is pleased to be able to offer PVC conservatories and pool housing at their magnificent showroom in Lagoa.
Michelle Harrison is the export director of the British retail provider, Speed Frame UK, which has eight factories on its site in South Yorkshire and employs more than 400 employees. It makes regular supplies to its exclusive shop in Lagoa which has just undergone a major extension, an event commemorated recently at their Open Day.
The Iberian head office of Speed Frame is in Lisbon, but Michelle is pleased to announce the opening of several new Iberian branches. Ian and Michelle Harrison first visited Portugal 15 years ago and later presided over the opening of their first branch, so changing people’s attitudes towards PVC in Portugal and Spain, and establishing a network of distributors within Iberia.
Last year, they began to expand further, putting English products into the Iberian market. So far, the Portuguese shops are divided into three areas – in addition to the Algarve branch in Lagoa, another showroom in Beloura (near Sintra) opens imminently and another opens in Braga in July. Michelle also looks after production for Iberia and Speed Frame is pleased to announce the unveiling of new premises in Madrid in the first days of June. Paulo Barroso, their Iberian General Director, joined last year and aims to lure Spanish clients through Speed Frame’s unrivalled quality designs.
Speed Frame also exhibit at fairs, such as the recent Verteco fair in Madrid and the Tektonica fair in Lisbon, in addition to being regular stall-holders at the Fatacil grounds for the last four years. With new shops opening all over Iberia, Speed Frame’s bright future looks assured. “We definitely have the confidence to expand further,” says Michelle Harrison.
