Homeowners’ electricity bills in the regulated market are set to rise by 2.8% in January, but social benefit for the very poor, unemployed, elderly and handicapped will also increase, if only by 1%.
Announcing the coming changes, the ERSE regulatory authority said increases on an average monthly bill of €46.5, would add another €1.21 to domestic bills.
