Ten districts are under yellow alert – the third most grave of a list of four – with predictions of heavy rain and rough seas. According to IPMA, the Portuguese institute of Sea and Atmosphere, torrential rain and possibly even hail may fall over Viana do Castelo, Porto, Aveiro, Coimbra and Braga on Tuesday.
The same goes for Lisbon and Leiria, which could also see four to five metre high waves hitting the coastline, while waves in Faro, Setúbal and Beja, could reach between three and four metres.
