More than 181,000 families were in states of default over mortgage payments in Portugal last year. The news came this week when the Bank of Portugal revealed its latest figures for 2013. Of the 181,655 families struggling with repayment debts, only 69,516 managed to “regularise” their situations, reports Correio da Manhã.
