Outro Bar, in Praia da Rocha, was broken into and badly vandalised in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Owner Salvador Varela said damages are in the region of “thousands of euros”. The thief broke windows, furniture and the bar’s computer before making his getaway on a bicycle with “a bag full of bottles of drink”. According to website Sulinformação, Varela actually tried to intercept the thief, who is believed to be known to police.
