In an attempt to promote healthy and balanced eating habits amongst children, Castro Marim council is once again handing out free fruit to students of the municipality’s primary schools.
First launched in 2009, the initiative will see 260 children eating fruit such as pears, apples, oranges and bananas twice a week during school hours.
The project will cost €2,400.
