Iconic images at ArtCatto Gallery in Loulé

Visiting ArtCatto Gallery in Loulé, the Algarve Photography Group view an exhibition of key images by international lensman Terry O’Neill.
Renowned for his candid photographs of famous personalities, often in unconventional settings, the exhibition includes a wide range of images from Frank Sinatra to the Rolling Stones, Audrey Hepburn and Brigitte Bardot to Paul Newman, as well as James Bond hero, Sean Connery.
Guided by professional photographer Peter Kain, who has worked with Terry O’Neill in London, the group toured the exhibition admiring the specially curated show, by courtesy of Gillian Catto. Spanning a period of 50 years, the prints are all signed and produced in limited editions.
“It is a unique opportunity to see and purchase such high quality photographs in the Algarve,” says Neil Adamson, treasurer of the APG which is based at São Brás Museum where members meet and exhibit their photographs on a regular basis.
“Examples of Terry O’Neill’s photographs are displayed in the permanent collection at London’s National Portrait Gallery, and have been seen at San Francisco’s Art Exchange and at numerous exhibitions worldwide.”
The gallery is open 10am until 6pm Monday to Friday, and Saturday by appointment only. It is closed during the Christmas period from December 21 until January 5, 2015.
