Lagoa’s Galeria Arte Algarve is now preparing for the grand opening of its new gallery in Ferragudo on Saturday, March 14, at 3pm.
The new venue will be located in the village’s main square Praça Rainha Dona Leonor and all are welcome to admire the paintings, drawings and photographs being showcased in eight rooms over two floors. The gallery will also feature a sculpture garden with two terraces.
Algarve winery Bairradas will be at the opening offering tastings of its wines.
Galeria Arte Algarve in Lagoa is located in the town’s historic winery (along the EN125) and is described as one of Europe’s most spectacular private art galleries, with a 3,000sqm exhibition space.
The architecture of the old winery is unique and art lovers say the authentic atmosphere truly enhances the works.
Up to 50 painters, sculptors and photographers showcase their latest works in collective exhibitions called “ARTE ALGARVE OPEN”.
On March 28, a new collective show, ARTE ALGARVE OPEN XII, will be opening in Lagoa.
