Lagoa council is to plough €11,000-worth of support into the borough’s scouts groups.
In a statement, the council said it hopes the money will allow the groups to function “without financial grievances”.
The council also stressed how the role of these groups can help young people.

• Agrupamento 1292 (Mexilhoeira da Carregação) – €1,794
• Agrupamento 413 (Ferragudo) – €3,220
• Agrupamento 511 (Lagoa) – €1,104
• Agrupamento 12565 (Parchal) – €989
• Agrupamento 1331 (S.Vicente – Marítimos de Carvoeiro) – €1,610
• Grupo 238 de Lagoa (Associação de Escoteiros de Portugal) – €1,495
