Mediterranean gardeners meeting in Loulé

The Mediterranean Gardening Association will be holding its first annual general meeting on March 25 at Tasquinha do Lagar Restaurant in Querença, near Loulé, starting at 9.30am.

To celebrate the first year, the association is inviting all to attend and hear about upcoming events and its plans for the future.

The business meeting will be followed by an illustrated talk by acclaimed author and horticulturist John Fielding on the wildflowers of the Algarve.

John will also be involved in the guided wildflower walk at Fonte da Benémola in the afternoon. His talk will demonstrate the similarities and differences between west and eastern Mediterranean wildflowers using the Algarve flora as a theme.
Books on the wildflowers of the Algarve, including the new hardback comprehensive book on Orchids of the Algarve by Sue Parker, will be available for sale.

Attendance is free to members and guests for the AGM meeting. Guests will be charged €5 for the coffee break and wildflower talk. The lunch and afternoon guided walk cost €20 per person (reservation essential).
