GNR save badger from drowning

A badger that was stuck in an irrigation canal in Silves was saved from drowning by GNR police on Friday (January 22). The animal was reported as “returned to the wild without any injuries”, but police are scratching their heads over what caused him to end up in the water in the first place, as the species is not even common to the Algarve.
