As a celebration of St Patrick’s Day, the Algarve History Association (AHA) in partnership with the “Ireland in Place Project” will be hosting a talk by Denis Bergin entitled “My Path to the White House”.
Denis is a writer and editor who will talk about the world’s most famous building and the part the Irish played in building and rebuilding it. He will also talk about his own journey of historical research that led him from Ireland to Charleston and on to Washington and the corridors of the iconic mansion said to be inspired by Ireland’s Leinster House.
The talks will be held on March 16 in the Municipal Library of Tavira and on March 18 in the Municipal Library of Lagoa, both starting at 5pm.
Admission is free although you are welcome to make a voluntary monetary donation to support AHA in running their events.
