New art gallery opens in Parchal

A new art gallery entitled ‘galerio’ is opening at Centro de Congressos do Arade in Parchal on May 7 (Saturday) from 3pm.
Run by German art specialist Rolf Osang, the gallery hopes to “breathe life” into the complex, empty during most of the year.
The gallery will be spread out over two floors – the 200sqm upper floor will be used for individual exhibitions that will last one month; while the 600sqm basement will be used for group exhibitions, some of which from “unknown artists”.
German artist Vera Christian will start the series of exhibitions by presenting her latest project, ‘Colour Migrations’.
‘galerio’ will be open Tuesday through Sunday from 10.30am to 6.30pm.
