Children from the Algarve have been busy these school holidays painting and drawing pictures of cats to be turned into fundraising greetings cards. They will be sold to raise money for street cat charity Amigos dos Gatos do Algarve (AGA), which will use it to pay veterinary expenses.
The paintings/drawings will be turned into handmade Christmas cards to be sold on AGA’s online shop and at the animal charity shop located at Edifício Isemar, Travessa Sá Carneiro in Montechoro, Albufeira.
Several local Algarve schools have been approached to participate in this Street Cat Art Class. Primary and Infant schoolchildren have been invited to paint/draw pictures to be submitted by the end of September.
The full range will be available to view in mid-October and AGA is expecting a Christmas card rush, so keep watching the AGA online shop posts for further information.
All entries from junior/infant school age groups are welcome – A4 size and smaller PDFs should be emailed to agalgarve@hotmail.co.uk including name of child and age.
