ACCA, an Algarve association helping children in need, is organising the 9th Annual Charity Bike Ride on Saturday, May 5. The ride starts at the Conrad Algarve Hotel in Quinta do Lago.
Everyone is invited to participate in one of the four rides and raise a minimum of €50 sponsorship in aid of ACCA’s underprivileged children in the Algarve, in association with the DM Thomas Foundation for Young People, which is dedicated to helping disadvantaged and vulnerable young people and children transform their lives.
Through funding, the DM Thomas Foundation helps local and regional community groups and charities across the UK and Europe to deliver projects.
The 10km “Parents and Kids” route with entertainment costs €10 per child. The event will commence and conclude at the Conrad Algarve.
After the rides, all are invited to enjoy a culinary treat, compliments of the Conrad. There will also be a raffle with many prizes to be won.
There is a choice of routes to suit all riders, levels of fitness and ability:
75km – Start at 8am. Meet at 7:45am.
50km – Start at 9am. Meet at 8:45am.
25km – Start at 10am. Meet at 9:45am.
10km – Start at 10:30am.
