A plastic bag containing several individual doses of cocaine was found by a beachgoer at Praia dos Pescadores in Armação de Pêra on Tuesday afternoon.
The bag apparently washed up and was found near the water, “half buried in the sand”.
The beachgoer called maritime police who confirmed the substance inside was cocaine. Searches were carried out on the beach.
