It’s the time of year when teachers get to hear where they’re being placed, and where schools learn how many personnel they are being assigned. Says the national association of school directors, last year’s pledge that this academic year would see the hiring of 500 much-needed school janitors has all but gathered dust. There has been no feedback, says president Filinto Lima who fears “schools will have to wait till January” before they are properly staffed.
