Two men were able to escape unharmed when a small Spanish fishing trawler sunk around 100 metres off the coast of the Algarve on Thursday afternoon (August 30).
According to Correio da Manhã, the men were trawl-fishing when the boat started to fill up with water, “either because of a miscalculated manoeuver or something that became hooked to the trawling nets”.
Both fishermen were quickly rescued, and the boat was towed back to Spain.
