Angolan relations back on track with presidential visit scheduled for November

After the “irritation” of Operation Fizz (where the former deputy president of Angola was cited as chief corrupter) diplomatic relations with Portugal are now firmly back on track. The country’s president João Lourenço is scheduled for his first two-day visit to Portugal in November (23-24). Lourenço has stressed that one of the priorities of his mandate is to fight corruption “where it exists, and prevent it where it doesn’t exist”.
