Man killed in latest EN125 accident

A 65-year-old man died and two people were injured in a head-on collision on the EN125 road near Figueira in Mexilhoeira Grande, Portimão.

The accident happened at around 1.19pm on Saturday (September 29) on a stretch of road with a solid white line. GNR police are investigating why the two vehicles crashed into each other head-on.

The fatal victim was identified as Carlos José, a resident in Portimão, who was in his van with his 39-year-old son who sustained minor injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle, a truck owned by local water and waste management company EMARP, also sustained minor injuries.
