Several new prizes have been announced for the raffle that will be held during the Macmillan Coffee Morning event which will take place on Friday, September 28 at Quinta do Lago’s lakeside bar The Shack.
According to organisers, guests can bid for a ‘Ferrari and Champagne Experience’ where “one lucky person will be a passenger in a Ferrari whizzing along the coast”.
Also up for grabs is a two-night stay at Sherborne House, a stunning stately home in the Cotswolds, an area in south central England, and a “very generous” €500-worth of hair and beauty treatments and a make-over by Lucia O’ Donoghue, a well-known beauty expert.
For many years, long-time resident of Lakeside Village, Joy Hodgkinson, has hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning, raising up to €2,000 each year for the charity.
Mandi and Julian Firman have more recently become involved and announced this month that this year The Shack is hosting the charity day.
Mandi said: “Caterina, the manageress of The Shack, is truly remarkable. They are not only putting on coffee and cake, but also a truly scrumptious and memorable breakfast/brunch buffet for the very special price of €12, from 9.30am to 11.30am.”
“The whole day will be huge fun with great music and even a very special ‘Macmillan Cocktail’. Don’t miss it,” says Mandi, who will be in charge of the raffle and tombola.
