Alcoutim mayor Osvaldo dos Santos Gonçalves and other members of the local council travelled to Sanlúcar de Guadiana on Wednesday (October 17) to meet with Spanish authorities and discuss the possibility of collaborating and holding more cross-border events.
Alcoutim and Sanlúcar de Guadiana already host one event together – the Contraband Festival, which this year was held in May and attracted thousands of people.
The meeting gave both sides a chance to put forward many ideas which they will be “working on” in the coming months.
