‘Living statues’ – street artists who can keep stationary poses for several hours at a time – will be lining the streets of Lagoa on December 14 and 15 as part of the town’s festive entertainment.
The event will see 16 of these street artists covering subjects from religion, cinema, literature and history to music, cartoons and nature.
Says Lagoa council, the goal of the event is to “promote and dignify this performing art while also bolstering local businesses in the heart of the town during the Christmas season”.
The performers will be on Rua 25 de Abril and Largo 5 de Outubro between 3pm and 6pm on Friday, December 14 and between 10am and 1pm on Saturday, December 15.
