A 76-year-old man died after being hit by a train in Faro on Monday.
The accident happened in the area of Chalé das Canas where the victim would feed stray cats near the railway track “every day”, José Gamito, a neighbour of the victim, told Correio da Manhã tabloid.
Authorities were called and tried to revive the man, but his injuries were too severe.
