Traffickers put a new spin on ‘street value’ in Vila do Conde this week when they threw 15.5 kgs of cocaine, worth 750,000 euros, into the street.
The haul – enough for around 77,000 individual doses – is now safely under lock and key.
PSP police appear to have noticed the traffickers’ cars in the early hours of Wednesday morning, and were moving in to intercept them when the drugs were jettisoned.
It is not clear how many traffickers were involved, as both cars ‘disappeared’ into the darkness.
