Lagos and Vila Real de Santo António will be celebrating their annual ‘Banho 29’ traditions on Thursday, August 29.
In Lagos, festivities will begin at 10.30am at Meia Praia and continue again at 8.30pm before revellers enjoy a swim in the sea at midnight.
Further east, the festivities will take place at Manta Rota beach and will involve a morning swim at Manta Rota beach at 11am in honour of local patron saint São João da Degola.
