A manhunt has been launched to find the suspected killer of a 19-year-old who was shot in the head at the LICK nightclub in Vilamoura last night.
The young man worked at the nightclub and died from his injuries hours later at Faro Hospital.
The incident happened shortly before 4am, a source from Faro’s rescue operations command (CDOS Faro) has told Lusa news agency.
“We were called because of a supposed firearm attack, which we confirmed. The victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to Faro Hospital,” a GNR police source told Lusa.
“The alleged shooter escaped on a motorbike which has since been found by authorities. However, the man is still at large,” the source added.
PJ police are investigating the case.
