Portimão, Ferragudo and Tavira were among the towns in the Algarve that saw parts of their riverside areas flooded last weekend due to high tides.
No damage was caused, however, and many holidaymakers were actually delighted by the sight, calling it the “Algarve’s Venice.”
These kinds of floods are common in the Algarve when the tide is high and rarely cause any kind of damage.
