A Portuguese-French national was arrested by PJ criminal police on Monday (October 21) in the Algarve on a European Arrest Warrant.
The man, 46, had been sentenced to 18 months in prison for crimes of embezzlement, fraud and abuse of confidence committed between May 2010 and October 2012.
He had apparently left France and moved to the Algarve with his family but was located and arrested in the region, pending extradition to France.
