Following a successful debut edition last year, the ‘Walk & Art Fest’ is returning for another round of countryside hikes through some of the Algarve’s most beautiful trails between Friday and Sunday (November 1-3) in Barão de São João near Lagos.
The event combines hiking and art, allowing people to sign up for activities like a walk through the woods that sees them stopping to draw or to hear an artist’s explanation about the artworks that he/she has set up along the path.
There are also traditional hikes for people of all ages and themed walks spanning other areas such as botany, geology, archaeology, cultural heritage and birdwatching.
Also planned are art exhibitions, wellness activities including Yoga, Tai Chi and Meditation sessions and even musical performances.
Among the novelties this year are two BTT mountain cycle paths that cyclists can explore and a guided tour to the Capela do Monte chapel.
