Colombian drug traffickers have lost another major haul ‘smuggled’ into Portugal among pallets of bananas.
This time the street value of the drugs seized from a warehouse in Porto by PJ police is estimated at ‘around €41 million’ (national reports) / €30 million (international press).
Last year, two incidents of cocaine entering this country in bananas from Latin America were foiled (click here and here). All three stashes are believed to have been bound for ‘other European destinations’.
