Parish councils in the Algarve are offering to go shopping or go to the pharmacy for local residents aged 65 and older.
The goal is to reduce their risk of becoming infected with the Covid-19 virus.
The measure has already been announced by the Portimão and the Lagoa and Carvoeiro parish councils, with others likely to follow soon.
Contact your local parish council (Junta de Freguesia or União de Freguesias) to check if it is offering the same service.
