Hotels in the Algarve will be lighting up with hearts on Wednesday, April 22 at 10pm in support of everyone on the frontline of the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
In order to create the hearts, hotels will be turning off all their room lights with the exception of those needed to create the shape.
“Our goal is to pass on a message of hope and thank all those fighting the pandemic,” says the Algarve hoteliers association AHETA.
The Tivoli Marina Hotel in Vilamoura was the first in the Algarve to light up with a heart earlier this month.
