Portugal’s maritime authority has resumed searches this morning for a 48-year-old Romanian man who went missing in the Guadiana River on Sunday afternoon near Foz de Odeleite in Castro Marim.
He was last seen entering the water by two fellow fishermen who were accompanying him, the maritime authority said in a statement.
Searches were carried out immediately but were fruitless and suspended at nightfall. They resumed this morning.
